Beverly May is the founder and Principal Consultant at Oxford Technology Ventures. Beverly is a focused and creative leader in technology strategy and product development, with over 12 years' experience in software & the internet and in managerial & leadership roles.

Beverly has built her career and reputation around 3 things:

  2. Being a creative, innovative problem-solver who conceives of new products and solutions to address market gaps and process inefficiencies
  3. Having a sharp, analytical mind that can break down problems, summarize complex technical issues, and manage many large-scale projects concurrently.

Beverly specialises in helping businesses conceive and deliver premium technology products and solutions that will generate increased revenue, greater brand loyalty and new consumers, as well as in streamlining internal development processes to deliver significant operational efficiencies and cost savings. She is an expert in optimizing the online consumer experience. Beverly's true value-added is in her diverse experience that spans brand marketing, technology development, operations management, as well as journalism and publishing.

Beverly began her career at age 20 by founding her own successful music entertainment company and music magazine, has been published by Routledge, in several academic journals and culture magazines, and wrote a new-economy strategy and future scenarios book in 2000 that focused on the changing demographics of the Internet adoption, called NRG Shift.

Beverly's consulting engagements have ranged from the International Computing Centre and the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the United Nations to the top global interactive advertising agencies in New York, as well as at dozens of Internet and technology start-ups. Most recently, Beverly helped the book and magazine publisher Rodale overhaul their signature magazine brand websites to drive 800% increases in site traffic, user retention and advertising revenue.

Beverly received her Bachelors' degree in English and Philosophy at University of Toronto, a Masters Degree in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University, and an Executive MBA from Oxford University, with a focus on finance. She is a triple US, Canadian and EU citizen.
